Senior High Pastor Layne Oaks

Layne was saved at the age of 14 at Maranatha Chapel in San Diego. In the 70’s he was a professional skateboarder and also raced Jet Ski’s in the 90’s. He has been married to his wife Claudette for over 30 years and they have three children, Brandon, Travess and Savanna. The Lord brought Layne and Claudette to CCTV in 2001 and they began to see the importance of being in fellowship and serving Him. They began to take advantage of the various Bible studies offered and had opportunities to serve in Nicaragua, Mexico and Hawaii. In 2003 the Lord called him to serve in the Youth Ministry and in 2006 God opened a door of leadership for the high school kids and he was officially ordained as a Pastor in 2009. Although saved at 14, he believes he didn’t truly know the Lord until the age 41 and with this he is passionate about youth not missing out on the abundant life God has for them. His favorite scripture verses are John15:5 and Galatians 2:20 and his favorite worship song is Tree 63’s “Look What You've Done”
