Junior High Pastor Scott Gorton

Scott was saved in 1987 at Ocean Hills Church in San Juan Capistrano. Born and raised in Massachusetts Scott came to Southern California when he was 19 without a plan but wanted to seek something different in his life. He attended Cal State Fullerton where he met his wife Sue. He was handed a Gideon Bible on campus and with Sue’s encouragement Scott began to attend church and gave his life to Jesus. Scott and Sue were led to CCTV in 1991 and made this their home church. After the birth of his children and becoming a school teacher Scott had a passion to serve with Youth here at the church. In 2006 God opened the door for Scott to lead our Jr. High kids. He was ordained as a Youth Pastor in 2009. He really enjoys hanging out with his wife and four children, going to the beach, driving his 1986 CJ7 Jeep around and his Honda motorcycle. Scott currently teaches 5th grade in Val Verde School District. His son Shawn is the drummer for the CCTV worship team and also helps co-lead the Youth worship team. His favorite scripture is Matthew 6:34 and his favorite worship song is “Shout to the Lord.”
